From a young age, I was inspired by my Dad to understand the importance of financial literacy.
I have always been a good saver, but it wasn’t until I started a family that I wanted to find better ways to secure my family’s financial future. My husband and I are not financial experts (social worker and primary school teacher), but through financial education and advice from experts, we found ways to grow our wealth and look ahead into our future without the looming stress of money. Private school fees and other costs that come with having children are something we are already preparing for. Starting small, by tracking spending, creating a budget, and finding ways to grow our wealth through investing has worked well for our family. My husband and I look forward to our budgeting date nights and setting new money goals for each other every few months.
